Berserk (1997) | anime review

I haven't read the full manga but this anime of 25 episodes is really hardcore R-rated series. It's easily one of the darkest series. I don't want to spoil but you have to watch it completely all 25 episodes. Look out for the ending, it's disturbing. For some watchers it might be slow at some point but it's necessary for character moments and build up so be patient, great things takes time. I have to say it's music is something else, I really love guts theme. It's different but still it hits hard. It's animated but please don't watch it in front of kids.

Game of thrones | Review

The story and the world building was really great. I loved the music in this show. It's slow at first, takes time to build the characters but eventually it becomes epic from a writing perspective. But it's not perfect series ( not talking about the book). Main issue I felt is towards the end and how it's handled. Without spoilers, I can say that at the end some things happens and it takes away many of the character developments that were building up from the start. Overall it's great and you can check it out once if you want.

One piece | Review

This story is one of the greatest in fiction. But it takes time to develop so at first it might be not upto the hype for some readers/watchers. So be patient and soon this world will be enjoyable. 

The main driving force of the story for which one piece is great is it's mysteries and world building. Yeah there are epic fights and drama but I think the mystery is adding fuel to the excitement. It has many beautiful designs of locations. Character designs are very different from other stories but they Play their part perfectly with emotions and personality given to them. The main issue that people face is it's length. It's currently at chapter 1044 and still on-going. But this weakness is it's strength at many times. It takes so much time to build up something and it delivers the epic conclusion too. 

So give it a try. If you are serious then manga would be better than the anime because in the anime they stretch out scenes very much. I mean if the fight is for 2 minutes logically then here they will make it 3 minutes or more. So it's your choice in the end.

One piece | chapter-1044 review

There are great reveals in this chapter. Finally we know the real name of luffy's DF I.e. hito hito no mi or human human fruit (model- nika). It's a mythical zone type fruit. Wow so much patience of Oda for keeping this secret for 20+ years. Now luffy can change his surroundings into rubber. Orochi is annoying and opportunistic as usual. It's great that Hiyori is finally putting an end to him. Kaido is shocked seeing luffy alive and there's an epic fight between both of them. This chapter had so much hype before it's release and it delivered on that. But also there are more questions now. Maybe that will be answered in future. Let's wait and watch how oda handles all this luffy's fruit being special and all. If it's interesting, different than other stories and is epic then it's fine for me even if oda uses some used tropes. 

As the gods will (2014) | Movie review | My thoughts

 It's a Japanese live action movie based on surviving dangerous games. It's available in Netflix. 

The Story: It's really simple story. Students have to play some games and the loosers will die. It has some plot holes but overall it's good. Some questions left unanswered.

The Music: It's nice, not that bad or not that good.

The Performance: Acting was also good. Not extraordinary but they were good.

The Message: I think the message was be yourself and have good in heart and kami (God) will help you at the right moment.

Your name (2016) | Short review

 Makoto Shinkai's 'your name' is a Japanese animated movie. Now don't run away just because it's an animated movie. At least give it a try for once. 

The Story: It's a little complicated love story so pay close attention. Mainly because of time travel body swapping, many people don't get it in the first time. Overall it's a beautiful story if you can feel it.

The Music: Background music fits perfectly in scenes. It made me feel all the elements present in the scenes.

The Animation: Just gorgeous visuals. Many frames can be set as wallpaper.

The Performance: Voice actors were great. They deserve credit for it.

The Message: There is love beyond everything. It can happen very unexpectedly.
